No, I'm not sad, but November in Chicago sure is. According to the weatherman, only 30% of our sunlight in November makes it to us, the people. The rest is blocked by the cloudiest month of the year. Add that to the temperature steadily dropping and the sun already setting at 4:15 PM...
I'm dieing for some sunlight. I go outside and freeze at lunchtime just to get some light. I love Chicago, I love the cold, but I NEED SUN! This baby born in the sunshine state is shriveling up. My only saving grace is that I found an indoor track that only charges $1 per visit to come run. So, I can continue to train for my 10K while getting pasty-er and pasty-er.
All I have to do is make it till December 22nd, the shortest day of the year this year. Then, I'll get my sunshine back, 1 minute a day.

PS-I wrote this blog last Thursday, and this morning, I woke up to the sunniest day all month. Praise the Lord for sunshine! The squirrels outside my office window are laying on the branches sleeping in the sun. Happy Monday.
